Thanks to everyone who answered my query about the finch-like birds. I
would like these to be gray crowned rosy finches too, but even though I
am unsure what they are, I do know they look nothing like a gray crowned
rosy finch. We are going back to Bend tomorrow for the funeral, so we
will try to get a picture of the bird and email it to the list.
