Point Wilson the year of 2008

This list is the maximum number of the individual species of bird seen in
one day. With the date of the highest count of the species in the year of
2008 a total of 264 days of observation. Conformation of species is done
through digital images. If I can't identify the species from my image I will
not enter it on this list. I am primarily a wildlife photographer who lives
near one of the best birding areas in Washington. One of the many nice
things about digital SLR cameras is the recording of meta data, which
consists of date, time and camera settings. Through archiving I can easily
retrieve all of this information. The time spent in observation each day
ranged from two hours to six hours. A total of 114 species were identified
by me at Point Wilson in 2008. With the start of 2009 I am in my third year
of this project at Point Wilson. I don't think this project will end until I
can no longer travel the eight miles from my house to the point. Hopefully
that will be many years from now.
