Good morning,
As Bud Anderson mentioned in his post, many birds had full bellies
yesterday. I also saw many Bald Eagles (mature and immature) feasting on
the voles that had become road kill fodder. There are a couple of my photos

Also, although some of the roads in Skagit County are getting better, Samish
Island Road is currently closed to thru traffic (although some SUVs and
higher trucks are pushing past the barricades). Our local Audubon group
canceled the proposed field trip for today to the Samish Flats due to all
the flooding conditions. Skagit County has a website listing the current
status of the roads (but Samish Island Rd hasn't been added yet) if you want
to check it prior to traveling out to the west 90:
