Hi Tweets

This morning, about 8 am, I found the Long-eared Owl seen by Matt Bartels the other day. It is still in the vicinity of the Animal Shelter in Kent. Turn in toward the animal shelter and immediately veer to the right along the back parking lot of the business park just north of the animal shelter. Down at the west end is Spicer Paper, and the yellow fire hydrant mentioned by Matt.

The owl this morning flew out from one of the smaller Western Red Cedars, closer to the dumpster about 50 feet east of the hydrant. It flew down and perched in the deciduous tree at the end of the conifer row (near the hydrant).

Please be careful if searching for this bird, we don't want to put undue pressure on it.

Good Birding,
