I got real tired of the fog and gray sky to day and we went up to the Pack Forest
near Eatonville to get some sunshine. On road 1000 just past the offices, a single
worried sounding Pine Grosbeak was hanging around at about 1000 foot elevation.
I would say the noise it was making was calling rather than singing, and as second
year males are apparently not reliably sexed by plumage alone, I would have to call
this gray and olive bird sex unknown. Clarice Clark
