These birds hung around until at least 3:50pm when I last saw them (I
headed for home they were still there).

At that point they'd awoken from their snoozing were swimming around
and diving. Not sure if they were trying to feed or just cleaning up
(there was plenty of splashing and grooming after that).

I timed the dives to 19 seconds (by counting). I remember that folks
in the UK used to have a forumla for determining dive depth from dive
time. Were these guys going to the bottom of the reservoir?
