Tweeters,

Took advantage of the holiday and the weather to bird the Alki area today. Chilly, but sunny and mostly clear with a slight haze. Somehow, after all my years of living and birding in King County, I noticed I had 3 birds that are "code 2's" in King Co., that were either unobserved or more likely, unrecorded, by myself. I was able to nail all 3 of them with views from 5-10 feet even. (Sanderling, Black Turnstone, Surfbird)

I Observed the following 44 species:

Greater White-fronted Geese
Brant
Canada Geese
Harlequin Duck
Surf Scoter
White-winged Scoter
Bufflehead
Common Goldeneye
Barrow's Goldeneye
Red-breasted Merganser
Red-throated Loon
