Yesterday there were 17 Trumpeter Swans on the Hobuk river, near the bridge before coming to the beach. I haven't seen more than a few at a time in the last couple of years.
Also had an adult (maybe tundrius) Peregrine on 113, half way between 101 and Clallam Bay.
A note of caution to anyone driving on the north peninsula. There are seriously slippery ice patches on the north side of mountain sides, particularly along 113, as well as on 101, just west of crescent lake, and in Indian Valley on 101. It can be surprising with the sun and warmth elsewhere!. Good birding,
