The female TUFTED DUCK was on Erie Lake yesterday (1/20/09).

Also, I saw the PRAIRIE FALCON on the Samish Flats. The first time, the bird was perched at the intersection of T Loop and Farm to Market. Later it was perched along Sullivan Road.

In Burlington I observed perching male and female MERLINS vocalizing with each other from a short distance. I watched as the male flew in fluttering fashion to the female and very briefly mounted her.
