Hi All, Yesterday I had to tear myself away from the Inauguration to find my Pileated male calling in the front yard, and working on a tree. It was a clear and beautiful day, and was surprised to find 5 Trumpeters (all adults) flying directly over my house. It seems my year for Swans! I have always loved them, but up north.I knew there was a pair in years past that would bring their young to the Snag Island area of Bonney Lake, but not recently. So I think when my camera gets here I will practice my photography on these rather large birds, to get a feel for things. Then I will of course want to work on my woodpeckers. The Downies and Hairies have both apparently started pairing up, as in recent weeks the pairs come together to feed. Not too much on the romance side of the relationships, more like, just hangin'........Have a great week!Vicki Biltz
