Hello tweeters,



I was thrilled to find a Barred Owl (Strix varia) in a cedar tree at
Discovery Park in Seattle today (21 January 2009 at approximately 4:00
P.M.). The bird was about 25 feet off the ground on a medium-sized branch
and was very easy to see. It was a very calm and obliging bird and I managed
to take a couple of photographs that you might enjoy:
