Today amid constant falling snow MerryLynn and I drove north in search of
several target birds. Birds of note that we did locate were....

Northern Saw-whet Owl......1 ad. at Fish Hook Park
Great Horned Owl................4 birds-2 at Fish Hook Park, 1 at Ivy
Cemetery,1 along SR 261.
Eurasian collard Dove............39 birds-12 in Touchet, 26 in Washtucna, 1
in Prescott.
Am. Tree Sparrow.................4 birds along Lyons Ferry Rd.
Rough-legged Hawk...............3 birds along Lyons Ferry Rd.
Ferruginous Hawk...................1 ad. came into roost in Washtucna at
4:35 PM (between D St. and Main St.). First time we have seen this species
roosting in a town.
Wild Turkey............................48 birds-12 in Washtucna, 36 near
Prescott
Merlin......................................1 ad. in Prescott, Walla Walla
Co.

It snowed the whole day we were in the field. It was fair birding with no WW
Crossbills in sight anywhere.
