This afternoon (Saturday) I noticed that herons were back on their nests near the Kenmore Park and Ride Lot. I did some investigating and found that they returned on January 29th. I didn't have binoculars with me but I'd say that there were 15-20 birds perched on the tree branches.
Is any one monitoring the other Heronries in the area? How are they doing in Medina, Black River, Lake Sammamish, Kiwanis Ravine etc?
