I always thought, since I've come to live in WA, that Tweeters WAS the
reporting entity for a WA Rare Bird Alert such as one finds in one or several
parts of our state chapters. Do we have a special RBA for eastern WA or SE
WA--I don't think I've ever seen them listed as an ABA telephone number . . .

Rachel--thank you for your information about the WA Birdbox (is that the
telephone number that I carried with me in the field just in case I found
something interesting?), but my question was about Tweeters: I have some old
birding friends and, if they are coming to WA, I suggest that they join
Tweeters, at least for the time of their trip. Are we the entity that has the latest
information about our birds, both endemic and accidental/weird, at that
particular time such as an RBA would have onhand? Not earthshaking, just
