I've been spending a lot of time paddling my kayak at the Arboretum,
watching one Great Blue Heron in particular. Yesterday I turned on
the video feature of my DSLR and captured the heron doing some
capturing of his own: a good-sized catfish. Although this bird seems
to trust me everytime I visit, allowing me to come within eight feet
or so, he was not sticking around to see if I'd try to steal his
meal, and he flew off just after catching it. The traffic noise is
from nearby SR 520.
