5 July about 11a.m. 1 male Goshawk carrying large prey. The hawk was
circling over and over again. The wing beats were typical Goshawk; Very deep,
very rapid, and very flexible - the shape and proportions suggested male
Goshawk. My position was a mile or more away- so the hawk was probably over the
Alton Daniel's fields and wet land. The bird went missing from the sky and
in its place, within seconds, was a Peregrine Falcon. Nelson Briefer
