Hi All,

I got up early yesterday and headed to Discovery Park to see colorful
flashes in the sky that I like much more than fireworks. I was not
disappointed. There were Rufous and Anna?s hummers arguing with each other
about nectar sipping rights all over the south meadows, especially near the
numerous patches of blooming Fireweed. I was also happy to run into a group
of fellow Tweeters working on their monthly bird count in the meadow. I
spent several hours photographing the hummingbirds and I also captured shots
of a few other miscellaneous birds including a Bald Eagle that was perched
on the small weather tower that is next to the lighthouse. I just finished
uploading 41 of the photos to the New Photos section on
www.goatislandimages.com if you are interested in seeing them.

I hope everyone had a great 4th!
