Hi Tweeters,

I went searching for the King Eider Saturday, July 4, with my wife
and friends. We arrived at Damon Point at about 11:00 and found the
eider soon after starting our search. I didn't have a lot of time to
photograph it, due to other plans for the day, but did manage to get
a few decent photos. Most of the time I was watching there it was
picking at the barnacles and other stuff on the pilings. Most of the
time it stayed in the shadows of the pilings. Photos are in the new
photos folder on my website along with photos from the last two
weekends including one of a Northern Flying Squirrel.

Also in the area west of Damon Point were two Red-throated Loons.
