Hans' report from Nisqually reminded me of a similarly strange observation I made last week. ( at least I thought it was strange) I saw a junco with an earthworm in its bill.

A major highlight of the day was on the crossover part of the boardwalk: an AMERICAN ROBIN holding a small green tree frog in its beak, with the frog's legs dangling down. It gave us multiple views. It was the first time any of us had seen a robin with a frog.
