My original sighting of this bird was looking down on it as it was
sitting on a fence rail. Most of the field marks were present when
viewed from above but the bird just looked like a pale version.. The
hooked bill was very noticeable. Unfortunately these images have muddied
the issue somewhat to the point that I need some second opinions.
