Sherry and I ventured down to Ocean Shores in search of the female King Eider. We arrived at 10:30am, parked at Damon Point, and walked westward along the waters edge towards the pilings. We scoped a group of scoters along the rock jetty and found the Queen no problem. We also saw today;

Surf Scoters
White-winged Scoters
Long-tailed Duck - 1
Least Sandpipers
Heerman's' Gulls
California Gulls
Caspian Terns
Common Loon - 7
Red-throated Loon - 2
Northern Shoveler - 3 at the Sewer Treament Ponds
Osprey
Bald Eagle
