First thanks to all of you who welcomed me to the list and told me about
about proper List-i-quette.

Some of you were also at the park and saw the osprey in a nearby tree. I
should have had the wit to ask one of the concert goers to borrow their
camera - instead we sketched the bird I'm id'ing as a Crested Caracara.

Most noticeable was the crest on it's long flat head, red facial markings
and a vulture-like face.
Unlike the osprey, it's body was black with a white tail and a white collar
around it's neck.

We've contacted Michael Robb at Marymoor to keep a look out!
