Clear DayOne of my favorite birding spots is Gunston Hall. It's George Mason's home, just south of Mt. Vernon, & is relatively quiet compared with the other local colonial mansions. The grounds are undisturbed & include pastures with bluebird houses. A wonderful 300+ year old boxwood garden, meadows, forested areas, & a deer park. Take a picnic & enjoy this delightful place.
