Hello Tweeters,
Today was a special day for ,because Patrick,s Idea and all the work paid
off.It was Patrick who always was so eager to seeing the Martin's in
Tokeland, and it bothered him that there was using the old rotten tire to
doing so.
I started in Bottle Beach this morning, there was only 2 cars parked.I know
one was Gary Frederick's Truck, what is so special.I know also that the tide
was high at 10.34 AM at a 8.5 foot tide.As I was going in Gary and his wife
came out.He told me that this birds are all still there, but I had to walk
quite way out way past the pilings. Here are the Shorebirds what I found.
WHIMBREL 5, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS 42,SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS 43,and 1WESTERN
SANDPIPER.
There was 1 extreme pale looking MARBLED GODWIT.
Meeting Gary later,he told me that he had a huge flock of the Western
Sandpipers and also Semipalmated Plovers on Bottle Beach.
My next stop was Grave Yard Spit in Tokeland.Whimbrel 18,but going out on
this spot I spotted 80 CASPIAN TERNS.
Going to the Marina, there was more WHIMBREL flying around, but Gary had 120
WHIMBREL on the jetty earlier. Also there where on the boardwalk where the
old barn used to be
HEERMAN'S GULLS most all in breeding plumage,Also there where 9 SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCERS
That is ALL TO REPORT,SHOREBIRDS coming in now!!!!!!!
