Hi Tweets,

The migration at the Edmonds Marsh is a little slow right now. Ted
Peterson reported one SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER each on Tuesday and
Thursday. Both Saturday and Sunday mornings there have only been a
couple of WESTERN SANDPIPERS present among the resident KILLDEER.
Ted briefly saw a YELLOWLEGS the other day and his impression was of
a LESSER. The GREAT BLUE HERONS, MALLARDS, SONG SPARROWS, HOUSE
FINCHES, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS, BARN SWALLOWS,
and CEDAR WAXWINGS are about. Three ANNA's HUMMINGBIRDS were chasing
each other along the boardwalk this morning. A BALD EAGLE flew over
yesterday morning.

The waterfront is hosting upwards of 50 RHINOCEROS AUKLETS. A few
PURPLE MARTINS are around the new plastic gourds and I actually saw
some activity at one gourd on the far piling so perhaps we have at
least one nesting pair. The HEERMANN's GULLS are perched on the
southern part of the Marina breakwater. The Yost Park BARRED OWLS,
including the two youngsters, are still being seen. A number of
SWAINSON's THRUSH are in the park amongst the ROBINS and SONG
SPARROWS. The Willow Creek Hatchery has been pretty quiet but lots
of House Finches and AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES are at the end of the Point
Edwards public path.
