Hi Tweeters,

Hiked the Skyline loop trail at Paradise yesterday 7/18. Birds seen were:

Gray-crowned Rosy Finches, in the trees, about a quarter mile up from the Paradise Inn, as well as several on the wing up higher along the trail
American Pipits
Rufous Hummingbirds--MANY
Raven
Varied Thrush
Swainson's Thrush
Gray Jay
Juncos
Barn Swallow
Robins
Pine Grosbeak (Lewis Co, in the picnic area loop, under where the old Visitor Center was located

Mammals:
14 Mountain Goats
Several Ground Squirrels and Chipmunks
Many Hoary Marmots
Red Fox (silver/black phase in the picnic area)


Last weekend I completed a very short hike at Sunrise. Nice to observe Mountain Bluebirds there, as well as 3 Black Bears.
