JoLynn Edwards and I found the female King Eider today, 21 July 2009,
about 100 yards offshore behind the OS sewage plant. Present between
2:30 and 3:00 PM on a high tide. Excellent scope studies under ideal
lighting conditions (thin overcast). Thanks to all who posted their
experiences with this cool bird.
