Hi Tweeters,

I visited Rest Lake at Ridgefield NWR, Clark County from 6pm to 7pm
yesterday evening and was happy to see many shorebirds feeding in Rest Lake
induced by the lowering water level. Approximate numbers from mid to north
end of the Lake:

Long-billed Dowitcher 150
Greater Yellowlegs 15
Lesser Yellowlegs 8
Least Sandpiper 45
Western Sandpiper 30
Semipalmated Sandpiper 1
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER 1
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER 1
Killdeer 21

There were also at least 5 Bank Swallows flying over the lake with other
swallows. Many ducks around also although I didn't study them.

I'll visit again early this morning when the light is better.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward.

Jim
