Hi Tweeters,

Much to my surprise and shock when I arrived at the Fill this morning the East side of Shovelers Pond and the Central Pond were ashes. As Connie described it could have been much worse. The whole region is a tinderbox.

To add to this the little bird sanctuary island located on Lake Ballinger was on fire last evening. They were using helicopters to douse the flames. It was still burning this morning.
