Subject: [Tweeters] Ridgefield NWR Shorebirds

Hello,

Sidra and I made a quick run through the River "S" Unit of Ridgefield NWR today. The mud on Rest Lake looks great for shorebirds. However, shorebird numbers were down today. This heat has certainly evaporated a great deal of the water.

Shorebird List:

Least Sandpiper - 30
Western Sandpiper - 15
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Dunlin - 1
Greater Yellowlegs - 4
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
Long-billed Dowitcher - 35
Killdeer - 4

Cheers,

Tyler Hicks
Ridgefield, WA
