Birds galore at the feeder this am each taking turns. I added a small
drink to the feeder, which I think was a hit. On an average day I have
visits from crows, junco's and stellar jays. Today included one yet
unidentified, crow sized bird at the feeder with brown wings head and
back white/black breast, medium to large bird with a black patch under
his neck towards the top of his breast. New one for me, I'll have to
look him up . Baby squirrels roaming the trees are making a few birds
in the woods fuss at night along with the passing cat or two.
Towhee's have been in the woods this week and finally came out to the
feeder this morning - a whole group. Have not seen the "possibly
escaped exotic?, pileated woodpecker pair of birds dressed in
different suits" for two days. Bummed. It was a great morning though!
