Yesterday afternoon I stopped off briefly at the seasonal ponds along 12th st NE on Smith Island With the hot weather we're having they are rapidly drying up, but water in some still.

Saw one Eastern Kingbird on one of the many fences. In the farthest pond were quite a few birds: a pair of Wilsons Phalaropes, two Greater Yellowlegs, many Killdeer, and 3 or 4 Spotted Sandpipers.

Still some Blue-winged Teal, saw about 3 drakes, and 5 bright Cinnamon Teal drakes. A few Mallards and Gadwalls.

At the 10th street boat launch on the Everett waterfront the parking lot gull flock is going into summer aspect - mostly Glaucous-winged Gulls, and many bright and shiny Ring-billed Gulls. Out on the water did see two Bonapartes Gulls floating about. The bay with many young Canada Geese and their supervisors.
