Hi Tweeters,

I did a very quick visit to Ridgefield NWR, Clark County this morning to see
if yesterday evening's storm deposited any birds from East of the Cascades.
I was rewarded with 22 WHITE PELICANs and 4 WILSON'S PHALAROPES at
5:30-5:50am. Also noticed at least 15 drake BLUE-WINGED TEAL, several
PUIRPLE MARTINs and a flock of 75 GADWALL which seemed a bit high. Also,
interesting to see a flock of CACKLING GEESE that were the same size as the
largest of these year's Canada Goose Goslings. The other usual suspects
were around including American Bittern, Virginia Rail and Sora, Bullock's
Oriole, and Willow Flycatchers. I didn't see any Bonaparte's Gulls after a
high of 49 on the morning of May 31st.
Keep your eyes and ears skyward.

Jim
