Subject: [Tweeters] 2 Problems: lost lens and bird ID

Problem 1: I lost an Olympus 1.4X teleconverter lens (EC-14) while birding
the Union Bay Natural Area (Montlake Fill) on 3 June. These lens are also
referred to as "doublers" and work only when attached to a normal lens. I
would love to get it back as soon as possible and a reward could be
arranged.

Problem 2: When I retraced my steps in search of the lens the next day, I
saw a lot of interesting birds but no lens. One of the birds has left me at
something of a loss. The best I can make out is that it was a juvenile
Western Meadowlark, though I can't find any pictures that come close to
looking like it. Here are links to a couple of not very well-focused
pictures:

Thanks for any help you can offer, either with the lens or the bird,

Dale
