I was down on the Fill on late Sunday afternoon (interesting for me
as I'm usually there in the morning) after Elinor Powicke set me this
one

I didn't see the Lazuli Bunting though I did hunt around for it.

The upside was on the Loop trail between "the point" and SW Ponds
(closer to the former). I was idly watching the crows fishing again
and return to a small "tree" at the water's edge when the GREEN-
BACKED HERON (that's been eluding me) flew up landed on the lower
branches of the tree, moved a crow out of the way, then stretched
down to take a drink (a great demo of it's bittern-like neck), a
short wait then continued westish just over the surface of the water
along the water's edge. Eventually crossing the inlet that leads to
Connibear shellhouse before disappearing out of site.

I'm presuming this is the same bird the Evan Houston saw yesterday
(and I missed). Perhaps, as he suggests, a resident or even a
breeding resident?
