Just a note for anyone interested in watching the burrow owl site near
Pasco, WA which is broadcast as part of the WDFW Wildwatch cam series. The
site just began streaming video this past week at
http://wdfw.wa.gov/wildwatch/owlcam/video_burrowing2.html
Currently the site is live between 11:30 AM and nearly midnight and uses a
full time infra-red camera. Over the next week or so the hrs will be
revised somewhat depending on the ability of the solar-powered batteries to
handle the equipment. A camera capable of either visible and infra-red will
be incorporated, hopefully, with live sound. Keep an eye on developments.
