I prepped for hummers early, but did not see any until yesterday. It
was orange all over -- possibly a female Rufous? It didn't mind that
all of the red liquid was not visable and tried my feeder anyway. I
have had that feeder ready for nearly two months now and most of the
liquid was blown away or leaked out. There was a residual amount that
the bird enjoyed -- two sips, in fact. Where are you that you have
not seen any hummers? Interesting that I finally saw one yesterday.

Sorry that I've not heard anything from your area (Roy, Elm, Centralia,
etc.)--most of the reports reaching me said that there WAS a slacking-off at
hummingbird feeders for 5-7 days, but now we're seeing the females (Rufous,
at least), which I assume means that they have young and the males have, as
usual (!), left for warmer pastures. Murray
P.S. Graham is in Pierce County.
