Hi Tweets,

As a follow up to yesterdays post on Tweeters about Western Scrub
Jays on Queen Anne: "We've been observing Western Scrub Jays between
Blaine and Galer and 1st and 2nd Avenues West on Queen Anne in Seattle
for the last couple of years. Other posts on tweeters have reported
the same locations for these birds on previous posts to tweeters. Our
last observation earlier this week was of a bird with a beak full of
food and wonder if anyone has seen nesting Jays in this area"?

This morning, in the same general location as above, a pair of Western
Scrub were observed feeding a fledgling. This confirms that the
birds are breeding on Queen Anne! We have been observing Western
Scrub Jays in numerous different locations on the hill as others have
also reported for the last few years. Now we wonder how large is the
population of Western Scrub Jays on Queen Anne and in Seattle and are
they all successfully breeding?
