Subject: [Tweeters] Eagles on Green lake: strange doings

I caught this morning a couple of morning's minions: two bald eagles, swooping down over a raft of Canadian geese swimming at lest a hundred yards from shore. They took turns harassing the geese, who collectively moaned when the eagles came close. This happened several times, until at last one of the eagles landed among the geese. I can't imagine an eagle carrying off a whole goose, and he didn't, but he/she took off from the water and flapped away with his/her sidekick, apparently meatless, leaving the honkers to steam away in their armada. I have never seen this behavior before.

This happened at about 0630.
