Another brief stop, in the rain, today at the seasonal pond on the end of 12th st. NE. (road just north of Everett Sewage Ponds) revealed a fine pair of Wilson's Phalaropes again - at least one pair (or more ) have been there since June 4th. Seattle Audubon's Birdweb mentions they have bred in the 'Everett area'.

Also a single Greater Yellowlegs, three or more Spotted Sandpipers, and many Killdeer (20 +) still here on this shallow pond, along with a few Blue-winged, and Cinnamon Teal.

The 10th st. boatlaunch on the Everett waterfront still has a few California Gulls mixed in with the regulars. Three immature Bonaparte's Gulls have been around on the bay to the North (maulsby mudflats) and also a single Western Grebe, seen for the last few days. I've yet to see or hear a Purple Martin here in Everett this season.
