I did my South Elma BBS this morning (June 21). The surprise of the day was a Least Flycatcher along Howanut Road. The bird was singing its emphatic and persistent chebek, chebek.

Howanut Road runs south from Elma-Gate Road a bit east of Oakville. The flycatcher was near a white gate on the west side of the road just north of where Howanut makes a left hand turn.

Also of interest were Lazuli Buntings at three stops, including a female carrying food.
