We were driving home last week and I finally found the Bushtit nest right there on the way home. It is huge! I have never seen a bushtit nest that big. You can see it on my blog.
And while we were at Riffe lake, our friends parked their RV right next to ours and sticking out of the bumper that holds the septic tank hose was some moss and sticks. So removing the lid that also has a hole in it I found a Bewick's Wren nest, with eggs. Unfortunately the owner did not know the bird nested in his RV, it is lined with rabbit fur, dog hair, feathers, plastic wrap with five eggs. :(
