Walked along two rivers, yesterday where I found Cedar Waxwing along
the Nisqually River. The blackberries along the Nisqually are
ripening already. Along the Mashell River at Eatonville I watched a
crow harass a Bald Eagle and found a bird nest that had flopped out of
a small bush along the sidewalk at the park. The bird nest was shaped
like a small cup and was made of soft down, cotton, a few pieces of
dried dead grass, and very fine feathers. There were no sticks or
branches in the nest. No eggs. And no baby bird nearby. Should I
have left the nest lying upside down on the ground?
