Tuesday morning around 10am I easily found the Least Flycatcher where Tom
Schooley had reported. It ranged a short distance from the river (Black
River very beautiful here) to the white gate to the south, calling
frequently. Other interesting birds here included: Singing Lazuli
(assumedly) Bunting; Pacific-slope & Willow Flycatchers & WWPewee; Bald
Eagle, R-t Hawk, Turkey Vulture, Cooper's Hawk, with Osprey nesting nearby.
En route I spotted a Eurasian Collared Dove pair on powerlines at 8333 183rd
just E of Rochester, and a possible third individual in flight at near 12600
175th off Moon Rd W between Rochester and the river bridge on Hwy 12.
Driving the back road into work (Moon/Gate/Mima Rds) offered quite a
variety, nearly 50 species en route. Good birding!
