When I did the Tonasket BBS two weeks ago with Steve Caldwell we found a pair of Eurasian Collared-Dove at each of the three stops through the town of Tonasket itself in Okanogan County. I know that they had been seen in the county for at least the last year but this was the first occurrence for this species on the BBS.

The national BBS website doesn't have this species on the list for being able to chart when and where it has been seen on BBS routes for Washington State, so I wasn't able to check to see the history of how they're showing up on the BBS routes. Are they recorded on other routes in Washington yet? Are there any definite nesting records for Washington yet.

Otherwise the route had its usual average of 75 species. Unfortunately the count on a couple of key species, Grasshopper Sparrow and Bobolink was affected by wind at the most likely spots along Siwash Creek Road.
