On Thursday, 25 June 2009, I birded with Tom Aversa and Tayler Brooks
up the Skagit River where we found the following birds:

Black Swift - only 2, at Barnaby Slough
RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER - 1 male at the Newhalem Ponds just past the area
where the trail becomes overgrown
Eastern Kingbird - 1 at Barnaby Slough, 2 at Corkindale
Cassin's Vireo - 1 at Newhalem Ponds
Red-eyed Vireos just about everywhere we went
Bank Swallow - 2 at Corkindale
American Dipper - 1 at Newhalem Ponds
Veery - 1 Newhalem Ponds
Nashville Warbler - 2 singing males Rockport Quarry, 1 Newhalem Ponds
American Redstart - 1 young male at Corkindale, at least 7 at Newhalem Ponds
Lazuli Bunting - 1 Martin Road, 4 Corkindale, 1 Marblemount
Bullock's Oriole - 3 Martin Road, 1 Barnaby Slough

Later in the day there was a Eurasian Collared-Dove on Samish Island,
4 more on Chuckanut Drive, and another on the Old Pioneer Highway near
the turnoff for the Big Ditch.
