Subject: [Tweeters] Falcon chase bombs!

Monday, March 1: Jud Scovill and I are pleased to report a stupendously
unsuccessful Skagit County falcon chase today with not a single sighting of
any falcon. With the wind blowing about 30 knots eagles huddled in the
fields, red-tails flittered about imitating harriers trying not to crash and
snow geese collected at the northwest corner of Fir Island because they
couldn?t fly upwind.
We finally saw a kestrel near Arlington and the resident peregrine beneath
the I-5 ship canal bridge, although neither counted.
We had a great time!
Cheers
