Marie,

A Serviceberry is a fabulous tree to have in your yard.? In the spring, hummers sip the nectar from the blooms and in the fall,?we've had robins and cedar waxwings eating the berries.? I've never seen starlings in the tree at all and we do have them around.? When my now 23 year old son was in kindergarten, his class planted little trees in pots (a 6 inch?twig, actually) to?give to their moms on Mother's Day and that tree was my serviceberry that is now a mature 20 ft. tall, multi-trunked tree.? It's beautiful!
