Hi all

We went to Othello yesterday?to try and find the burrowing owls, which we didn't find by the way.? On the way home we came accross several swans on one of the lakes (ponds).? My question is are tunda swans and whistling swans the same?? I took a picture of? two swans and I realized they actually looked different.? Most of the books call them the same species or sub species.?

By the way we did see one flock of 30 sandhill cranes flying head but we didn't see them land.? We drove by the site?off Corfu (spelling?) road and didn't hear or see any cranes.? While we were looking for the burrowing owls there were several harriers flying around and a large raptor at the other end of the runway so our little guys may have been wise to keep out of sight.? I hope to make another try at them next weekend.

Thanks

D. Lewis
