I don't throw out peanuts--too many squirrels already, but I have a number of spotted towhees that use my yard. They will readily fly to the large squirrel guard I have below my front feeders and then fly up and grab a few seeds from the feeders. At least one has learned to fly and cling, briefly, to a suet feeder, peck a chunk, then fly down to the ground and eat it. These are usually males.
